CAREER & BUSINESS
From emerging start-ups to global corporations, businesses today need to continue to transform – from their products to their processes to their people — to stay relevant, get results and assure a robust, sustainable bottom-line. Saying it is easy, achieving it isn’t. I know because I’ve done it as a C-level growth leader and transformation executive for Fortune 100 companies over the past two decades.
In business, I’ve helped companies develop, drive and execute strategies that achieved double-digit sales growth, earned positive customer satisfaction, maximized revenue and operating income, moved into new markets and advanced marketplace perception.
My cross-functional management background encompasses Operations, Sales, Finance and Human Resources, giving me a unique, holistic perspective on how companies can best navigate the complex undertaking of transformation. I’ve also facilitated multi-faceted business re-engineering, deal facilitation and strategic relationship development. And my background includes multicultural, multinational business environments and regions including the U.S., Latin America, Europe and India.
And a company’s talent – their people – are key to the equation. Maximizing people, in parallel with products, services and operations, is something I consistently and enthusiastically teach, preach and practice.
MY PASSION, MY PURPOSE

My vision is for everyone to have an opportunity to learn, develop and apply their talents and strengths in fulfilling their passions on a day-to-day basis. ABOUT ME
“MY CAREER PURPOSE IS TO HELP BUSINESSES SUCCEED, BUT MY LIFELONG PASSION IS TO HELP PEOPLE SUCCEED. AND PERFECTION IS THE INTERSECTION OF THE TWO.”
I am someone with multiple life and career paths. And in looking back, you realize how experiences make us who we are. What I realized most was that in work and in life, it’s the human connection that gives us energy, purpose and satisfaction.
My father passed away when I was six years old and my mother never remarried. Growing up in Toronto, Canada, I was the youngest of eight kids. At eight years old I worked in a restaurant peeling potatoes three nights a week for money to help the family. At age 10, I worked with my brothers cleaning office buildings, every night and during the summers. At age 15, I worked at fast food joints until I finished high school. When your survival skills are called upon at a young age you build heart that lasts a life time.
I earned a college scholarship to pursue my first passion, the jazz trumpet. But my mom was ill and I turned it down to take jobs to support us both. But I realized I had to get a college degree. So I found a part-time night job that would pay for and allow me to attend school. At the age of 19, I became a maximum security guard at the prison in Toronto. This would end up being one of the defining points in my life. I earned respect and civility from the inmates there simply by treating them with the same. And my attitude of honoring others ended up literally saving my life.
These early days and experiences laid the foundation for what would become my long and diverse corporate career. I learned you can be tough but also diplomatic, fair, honorable, respectful. That attitude determines altitude. Giving is critical to leadership. And anything is possible when you lead with your heart.
