It isn’t easy to stay inspired when we find ourselves in the everyday routine of life. Whether it’s work-related stress, at-home challenges and or mental obstacles, finding and maintaining inspiration can be challenging for anyone. So, here are three actionable steps I take to stay inspired daily.
Document your desires
First, you need to spend some time and define what you want in life. I categorize my desires into groups (personal, professional, family and spiritual) and write 10-15 key objectives that fall into these categories. I try my best to set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Results, Timely) goals to ensure success.
Make an action plan
Developing a plan helps turn your goals into reality. I start with reviewing my list and thinking about actions that I can take on a daily, weekly or monthly basis to support these goals. It might take you years to get to your end goal, but you must start somewhere, and your actions need to be pointing you in the right direction. The second step in my action plan is to research individuals who have been successful in achieving the same goals and learn from them. I also make sure I read at least one hour a day. Just remember, feeding your mind with knowledge and motivation is just like fueling your body with fruits and vegetables!

Practice gratitude and visualization daily
I begin each day practicing 45 minutes of meditation, gratitude and visualization of my desires. I am a firm believer in the Law of Attraction (drawing yourself to whatever you think about), so keeping a positive mindset and showing gratitude for what you have in life versus complaining about what is lacking is key. When I visualize my desires, I force myself to imagine that I have achieved my goals and how that would make me feel. I also end my day with this simple 45-minute process to get me in the proper mindset before bed.
I believe a major component of staying inspired is fostering a positive attitude every day. When this is combined with defined (SMART) goals, an action plan and a routine of gratitude and visualization, you will stay inspired and achieve everything you want to achieve.
